Dr. Jones is a professor in the Department of Plant Agriculture, at the University of Guelph. He has been studying cannabis biology for about 10 years and obtained the first research license to cultivate plants at the University of Guelph in 2018. The primary focus of his research program is on cannabis micropropagation and biotechnology, but also includes plant production and traditional breeding. He has published dozens of peer reviewed journal articles and trained several graduate students in cannabis biology and production. Overall, he is a leading cannabis researcher with broad interests and expertise.
